VT, the widely accepted conclusion and implication ( by many even most Muslims) of the Shahada is that allegiance to Allah supercedes any allegiance to any governement unless that government is Islamic in nature, this being part of the basis of Islamic wars of conquests since ~650 c.e.( current era, to be politically correct for Jews, Buddhists, etc.). That is the core of the problem. "I pledge allegience to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands..." If the government is not Islamic, not recognizing Muhammed, Allah, etc...watch out. Incidentally less I be put into some sort of pidgeon hole, I do believe that it is at the core of freedom of speech to let ( though detest) assholes burn the US flag ( as was done for example in Viet Nam war protests), though I find it repugnant beyond expression, and I confess in this moment of crisis that I could not guarantee the safety of anyone who did so in my presence if I had an axe or a rifle in my hand. Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the "five pillars." We are off topic here folks and I apologize for that. I will try to keep quiet for awhile so we can get back to oil related matters.
