Now for those wondering WHY you and others are taking time out of their busy days to make sufficient noise to bring attention to what is potentially a matter of national security, here is something of interest. Remember those reports of how the terrorists had shorted United Airlines, American Airlines and 3 Re-insurers in Germany? Take a look at the thumbprint they left behind.

Bottom line: American investors should have the right to determine their future by orderly buying or selling of American securities. Can anyone argue that? And if it means shutting down trading of ADRs for a while or forcing evidence of the underlying borrowed shares for short-selling to ensure this, then so be it.

Check out this post by Phil Erlanger, who looked into trading on American and United on the days leading up to the attack. Keep in mind that no trading is shown for September 11th or beyond.

It sickens me to see that chart. As it should every red white and blue blooded American citizen.
