T.IRD....unfortunately I couldn't find it in my vocabulary or in Funk and Wagnalls...you'll have to explain it to me, although it sounds like a slang.

Patience is the key in investing, unfortunately most of us more capital than patience. I noticed a few WESTERN companies have done well in the cyclical area. One of my old favourites, CHURCHILL (CUQ) and APEX (AXD.A). The latter got a takeover offer today. From what I have read about investing, esp. when buying unloved, undervalued stocks is to have a minimum 3 year horizon. I noticed IRD had a NR today, touting a early warning system. IRD sounds like a defensive play (no pun intended). Maybe they can promote the company on this.

I noticed most investors have lost interest in the market. There pain felt in the tech wreck has gotten worse with the effects of Sept. 11, however I believe if it wasn't for low interest rates, the markets would not be able to find support at these levels.

As for what is on my screen, some US stocks;

GLOBAL CROSSING; what a fall, however a leader in its field, hope it can survive until the economic recovery takes hold

SMTC; (SMX on TSE, or SMTX on Nasdaq); what a fall, possible takeover candidate in the EMS consolidation world?

So what are you looking at?

Ciao
