Kevin: have you heard of the VAR channel? I'm keeping this message short to balance yours <g>. Go look on the Microsoft thread where David Howe decided to post your first response to my original post, but without posting either my original or my response to your response (I think he likes you)<g>. A guy answers him (or rather answers you) that all big IT shops are used to having a big mix of vendors and that the homogeneity argument is mostly hooey. IMHO IBM is by now clued-in enough to know what will happen if they try to pull a Microsoft on the Linux community. Maybe they learned something from the ultra-fiasco of the OSF. But then, maybe not. Let's have a florid and overblown sentence contest. I can write a sentence more florid and overblown than anybody.<g> --QS
