Ha'aretz's editorial niche is intelligent moderate left. First-rate paper in general. And the range of debate among Israelis is broader than that among American Jews, so its op-eds are by no means all pushing the same line. It's also worth glancing at the Jerusalem Post (the other major English-language Israeli paper) once in a while too, for a more conservative/hawkish line--sort of like looking at the WSJ in addition to the Times. Both have good websites: haaretzdaily.com jpost.com tb@beddybyesoon.com
