What is long and conveniently forgotten about the college "peace" movement of the 60's is that, at its height, it encompassed about 5% of the student populations across the nation.

Fits in nicely with the myth of the "wide popularity" of a president who could never get a majority of the voters to support him and had to rely on 3rd party populists to help him sneak into the White House.

Perhaps our new and changed world has finally learned the essential lesson about leadership, the neglect of which led to eight years of most corrupt elected official in American history.

If that is, indeed, the case, then it will become self-evident that God loves America, and is quickly willing to forgive her transgressions...
