Kasten Chase Receives Direct Orders From The National Security Agency (NSA) For RASP Data Security

Sterling, Virginia --

NSA places $CDN 1.2 million order for RASP high-assurance
data security products

Kasten Chase (TSE-KCA), a leading provider of high-assurance data
security systems, today announced that it has received initial
orders from the U.S. Government's National Security Agency for
its RASP high-assurance data security products valued at $CDN 1.2
million. Further details regarding the procurement cannot be
disclosed due to the sensitive nature of the purchase and the
related product applications.

"At this time, we at Kasten Chase are highly focused on the
pressing need to work in close cooperation with our primary
customers within the U.S. and Canadian governments," stated Jim
Davies, president and chief operating officer at Kasten Chase.
"We are fully committed to ensuring uncompromising responsiveness
accompanied by the strong necessity for discretion as dictated by
the current environment of heightened security."

Shipments against this order began late in the last week of Q3
2001 and will continue through the initial weeks of Q4. It is
expected that Kasten Chase will release Q3 financial results on
October 25, 2001.

The company also noted that it is dealing with an increasing
volume of order-related activity from a broad range of government
agencies and departments. Due to the highly sensitive nature of
this activity and current security considerations, at this time
it is anticipated that specific details on these orders will not
be made public.
