The attack will probably not occur until the Kitty Hawk is in position and ready. It left Japan yesterday, without it's usual complement of 70+ fighters, and will probably be loaded with attack helicopters when it reaches it's destination. A mobile flat sovereign US territory that's easy to defend? Our leaders really seem to have their act together this time, and aren't making matters worse for the middle eastern countries trying to support us.

One scary thing about those helicopters is that you don't hear them coming until it's too late to do anything about it. They use composite blades that make them exceptionally quiet. They'll also most likely be coming at night so you won't see them either. In Desert Storm they were targeting soldiers at night who never even knew they were there.

What I don't understand is why is there a large amphibious component being put in place?
