And how do you know the Pentium 4 wasn't designed for Windows XP? Knowing Intel's and Microsoft's relationship, I would expect Pentium 4 optimizations in Windows XP. Who knows... maybe it will be enough for a 2GHz Northwood to be faster than a 1900+ Athlon XP.
