I see a very nice buying opportunity in the airline stocks here. A few reasons are a) many have dumped un-profitable routes in the last two weeks b) traffic is returning, Southwest says 80-85% of pre- Sept 11th c) fuel costs have dropped and should stay low for the near future d) labor costs will remain stable (after all the layoffs, who'd think of wanting to cause a stopage e) National Airport should open soon f) Analysts that cut most stocks in half are now saying they look attractive. I have LUV, and CAT (up 16% in last 2 days)
