The neutron bomb could be used and no one would ever know it had been used if the right targets are chosen. It is one of the cleanest of weapons.

WC, that is totally incorrect. A neutron bomb is not a "stealth nuke." Even a single course in Modern (Atomic) Physics will show that. During the unclassified debate over this in the eighties, the concept was that a Kiloton range (Hiroshima - class) explosion could be rad-enhanced to the radiation level of a Megaton range warhead.

It would cause less BLAST damage than a conventional nuke; but the blast would be more powerful and obvious than *any* conventional stuff. The world will still see the unique characteristics of a nuclear explosion. Not hard to guess who lobbed one.

Quit wishing for it. Ain't gonna happen, even in response to a WMD attack. We're fighting a sneak 'n peekers' war, where single, well-placed rifle bullets have more effect than nukes.

Besides, WE still have the moral obligation (and technical means) to avoid immolating innocents. Nukes aren't selective.
