Celeron 1.2 GHz benchmarks

C't has benchmarked the new 1.2 GHz Celeron based on the Tualatin core. The only difference to the 1.2 GHz Pentium III is the fsb which operates only at 100 Mhz. Due to its larger cache the new Celeron is considerably faster than the Celeron 1.1 GHz, partially more than 30%.

According to c't the Celeron 1.2 GHz beats the Duron 1.1 GHz at SYSmark 2000 and in Linux kernel compilation. The Duron wins at 3DMark 2000, Quake 3 and PovRay 3.1. In Linux kernel compilation the new Celeron even beats the P4 2.0 GHz on a i845 chipset.
