Hi Bud & Jack, I've been following along here and just wanted to add my 2 cents (FWIW).

The nature of things is that most of us follow companies so there fore we are attracted to Stock symbols vrs Funds. I'm of the opinion that if one was to put as much energy into researching a Fund as I do a company, then the same results are possible.

I loved my funds when they were up and really only became discouraged when the Fund Manager changed the trading rules on me. Recently he stated that we should be Dollar Cost averaging in this weak market. Well that's a bunch of bull, because he won't let us sell pieces in an uptrend without paying a redemption fee. I think he has forgotten who's money it really is.

My point, as you well know, is that there are Good Funds and there are Good Stocks, both require digging to find and most of them can be AIMed successfully.

I believe Jim Battaglia has probably researched Funds more than any other AIMer I've read. He doesn't appear to be to active at the moment. Here is his web address and SI thread.
