Both......I tend to be goal oriented so I like the challenge of a climb. It gives me a clear goal. However, I also like hiking cause it is so peaceful. Mother nature is the world's best artist! I grew up in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York so I am no stranger to climbing and hiking. There are lots of trails all through those mountains. THe scenery is quite beautiful. Class 4 and 5 climbs are not for me as I do not enjoy rock climbing with ropes. White water rafting is another adventure I like. Within the next couple of years I hope to go down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon. It's a life-long dream of mine.
