gst, in this case, six sigma refers to a system of continuous improvement through process learning and variation reduction. iow, super duper quality and quality control. the point was that folks confused japan's great fiscal success in the late 80s with superior (near perfect!) production of goods. while they did many things right, they still left a lot on the table. it was unsound long term monetary policy that gave short term results and f* 'em long term. same with the US. crystal wants to spout production reasons (six sigma) as to why the naz is really worth 5k. he's wrong. it was short sighted irresponsible fiscal policy and statistical lies that made the naz hit 5k.
