One of my favorite scans.

Sometimes on down days, I don't want to see which stocks went up necessarily, but those stocks that closed towards the top of their range.

Similarly on up days, I might want to see which stocks faded towards the end and closed toward the bottom of their range.

This scan formula shows stocks that closed in the bottom quartile (bottom 25%) of their range for the day:

(CLOSE - LOW) < (HIGH - LOW)*.25
