If you want to see one heckuva mess, and what can happen when a company President/CEO who owns 95% of a company gets a margin call on all of his company shares, check out OCCF. What a soap opera. 4 brokerage firms executed the margin call, started selling the shares (with a corresponding plummet in share prices, of course), then the CEO gets a temporary restraining order today to stop the sell off by the brokerage firms, and the shares go screaming up. Those speculative longs who bought high today are going to pay dearly, I think, when that restraining order is eventually lifted.
