Well, I have some agreement that those special folks in SF are some of the worst. But I have previously well off friends who with some wierd circumstances and health and some other things end up on the street. And it's hard to believe until you realize who incredibly difficult is it to get started back with NOTHING. It's almost impossible. But now that the subject is back, it really shows the foolish drug WAR as a circle jerk with only those with a lot to gain....and that includes the cops, judges, prisons, governments....want to keep it going. They are all paid while it is GOING ON....without the profit motive there is NOTHING FOR THE PRODUCERS, SELLERS, or ENFORCERS. So we continue to risk entire NATIONS for the sake of puritanical PROHIBITION. Prohibition of ANY kind has never worked....EVER So deal with the problems....the people....and the Treatment so that the certain percentage of users (which is in every society) can receive assistance in getting OFF the drugs and leading decent lives. But those that continue to use can also function (just look at the alcoholic CONGRESS) and be a part of society. Without everyone going to prison while the violence continues. CC
