FaultLine - as someone who lives in the DC metro region (in Fairfax County, VA.) I can tell you that the same is true for our entire region. More than 100 different nationalities live in Fairfax. The D.C. metro region has many, many nationalities inside and outside the famous Beltway, and we all live in something that looks like peace to me. I am in graduate school at George Mason University in Fairfax, which also has many, many students from many nationalities. We know how to respect each other. We cherish each other.

My neighbors are black, white, Asian, Middle Eastern, and their kids go to the same school with my kids. We all live together in harmony.

I think the world could learn something from us. We certainly learn a lot from each other.
