Wanna_bmw: This quote just proves my point, the operation is performed in 1.5 cycles of base frequency not 0.5 cycles. Bit 16:31 is in a pipeline shifted by a half-cycle. The flags calculation is shifted by another half cycle. So there are 3 concurrent pipes shifted by a half cycle each and not one pipe that is running at twice the frequency. It is they who mischaracterize what they are doing. You just proved my point. Too bad for you two! Pete
