michael97123, you posted:

Last night at City College NY, my alma mater, US imperialism was blamed as the cause of the WTC attack. My God!

Sadly, this seems to be the prevailing sentiment in the political and social "science" departments of many universities. I recall an article in the Toronto Globe and Mail a couple of weeks ago where a political sc. prof at U of T expressed that view, Apparently, no one in the class voiced any disagreement.

We were also treated to the views of Sunera Thobani, an associate professor of women's studies at the University of British Columbia, who stated:

"From Chile to El Salvador to Nicaragua to Iraq, the path of U.S. foreign
policy is soaked in blood.

"There will be no emancipation for women anywhere on this planet until the
Western domination of this planet is ended."

I wonder if women would feel more emancipated if the planet were dominated by hardline Muslim clerics.
