Other than Bob Rubin and Alan Greenspan, everyone understands that the critical threat to the economy today is a ruinous deflation, and that, unlike prior times, a large deficit is necessary. The Rubin myth that it will increase LT interest rates later is only believed by the other economic fool on the scene: Greenspan.

Both of these individuals should be banished to whatever alternate careers would cause them to do less damage...
