It seems to me that a sentence or two of the President was taken to mean a similar capitulation during the China crisis. When you are about to kick the crap out of a lot folks saying words that just acknowledge a reality of reasonable men is not a problem. I have no fear that the President knows who are reasonable men and who are not. The President has to give the Taliban a totally unacceptable way to get out of their problem. His statement is words has little meaning except for those with a vivid imagination. tom watson tosiwmee
