That's why only 36% now admit to having had voted for Gore. In a rematch Bush would gather an unheard of 2/3 of the vote.

People are now "invested" in Bush43. They want him and the USA to succeed in bringing the terrorists to justice and in bringing the economy out of the Clinton recession.

Bush can only blow this by not learning from the example of his father, who threw it all away after Reagan handed him the Presidency. Bush41 had lousy advisors, notably his pollster - Teeter - who gave terrible advice and then ran his miserable campaign - the worst I've ever seen. To his credit, Jim Baker refused to get anywhere that disaster.
