Gravity Did Always Strike Me As Being So Arbitrary

When I was a kid I was a little bit chubby. My parents were frequently on my case to watch my weight. To facilitate this they put a scale in my bathroom. I was supposed to record my weight and make sure it did not go over 125 pounds.

Then one weekend they took me to the Brooklyn Children's Science Museum, which includes the Hayden Planetarium. In the hall outside of the planetarium, among the exhibits that they have, are a number of scales. These scales are designed to show you your weight on the different planets and the moon.

After going through that exhibit I realized that I would not have a problem meeting my weight target on the moon.
