RE: When will we see the $99 ZIP?

K.E stated in the 4qr conference call that the reason that
the OEMs accounted for only 10% of sales was that they
received their 4q inventory in the 3q, which makes sense
due to having to have boxes built and in the channel for the
all important 4q sales.

Thus fourth quarter production can have a greater number of units
dedicated to retail sales.

Two items, it shows how important 3rd quarter production is and
that immediately after filling the seasonal needs of the OEMs there will
likely be excess production with which to have a $99.00 Christmas Zip.

Where's NEC's production ?

Thats why I say " This third and fourth quarters seem to me to be defining."

Who can say at this point that Iomega will be able to fill the
needs of the OEMs never mind having a $99.00 Zip ,
but just speculating for fun.
