Dan, "Microsoft loves AMD. AMD brought box prices down by about $1000 when it introduced competition to the PC CPU market. However bad sales are now, they'd be a lot worse if PC's were selling for $1,500 to $3,000 instead of $500 to $2,000."

Sure, Dan. Sure. AMD is solely responsible for maintaining growth in the PC market, and without them, the industry couldn't possibly manage to maintain consumer demand. Who knows? Maybe the Internet would never have caught on if AMD hadn't brought computers down to sub-$1000 pricing....

I guess the rest of the industry loves AMD, too, since they all have AMD to thank for the large volumes of PCs that customers are demanding because of lower prices. <ggg>

ROFLMAO.
