Perhaps the company just got a little worse since the Douglas book is sort of my trading Bible.

If you and I are agreeing on the first pass, then there is really something strong happening here ole buddy.

The book works for me on a philosophical level, too, in how it asks you to think in certain ways

That is the exact level that draws me to the book. The point you make about it applying to things in regular life is exactly what I am talking about too. Just think how many million dollar opportunities walk right by you at regular intervals each week or month and we do not even know it. The information is there and all we have to do is interpret it as it passes, by "making ourselves available" to it. These are things that I have already slammed my head into in the market and I just wish I could have read about it earlier and learned from others mistakes.
