Signal Technology Awarded $250,000 in Production Contracts for Unmanned Reconnaisance Aircraft Transmitters
DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2001--Signal Technology Corporation (Nasdaq: STCO), a leading provider of electronics products for wireless communications and power management products in the commercial, defense and space markets, today announced that its Keltec Division has received follow-on production contracts for a total of five 4Kw transmitter systems from multiple customers developing unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) platforms for defense intelligence.
Signal's 4Kw transmitter is an integral part of the Synthetic Aperture Radar that gathers intelligence imagery on such vehicles as the Global Hawk and other UAVs. The transmitter enables the capture of detailed images of features on the ground from high altitudes. The Company expects to receive follow-on production quantity orders for its 4Kw transmitter systems from multiple users in 2002.
