As you can see, the Power4 leads by a substantial margin [over 2GHZ P4 on dual channel Rambus] in not just SPECfp2000, but SPECint2000 as well. With scores of 1098 SPEC_basefp2000 and 1169 SPEC_peakfp2000, it's also the first commercially available microprocessor to break 1000 SPECmarks in CPU2000. It's also important to note that at 1.3 GHz, the Power4 will be introduced a full 300 MHz above its original target clockrate of 1 GHz.

Ah the beauty of low capacitance transistors and circuits that don't constantly leak power!
