OT - that view goes back to the basic economic question - Is the economic pie finite or can it be expanded? I am of the view that the reason that Malthus and his followers have been so far off the track is that the pie can be expanded and is expanding. Our happiness on this earth will only come from seeing to it that it gets expanded throughout the world. This is the antithesis of the view of the Terrorists who want to spread their misery over all the earth and view us as the major reason they will not be able to do so.
