The good news is that it doesn't have to take a whole generation to deprogram people raised upon this stuff. Not all Hitler youth went on to espouse their vitriol until their deaths. I don't know how that works, but I suspect that most people are followers and will simply do what they are told. If they are told something new they will simply adopt that something new. I hope so, anyway. It would help if we could mount an effective counter-propaganda campaign, but I don't have any idea what that would look like. It certainly doesn't look like a new puppet strongman.
