Olu, the 20 & 50 day EMAs sure did work well in the past for CSCO (change it to a 3-year chart). Would have gotten you out at around 68 and kept you out all this time. Also would have kept you in from 11/98 to 5/00. Problem is there are many more stocks, including some other "leaders" of the bull market, where those signals would have whipsawed you in and out for repeated losses even as the longer term movement was upward, followed by more losses at what probably seemed at the time as bottoming reversals. Works great on big, powerful moves if you get entirely in or out at the signals (keep buying all the way up and the lag from the top to the sell signal could kill you), but watch out for the head fakes. Good luck.

Bob

PS: Major congrats if you did trade on this with CSCO since '98. My only question is how do you know which stocks it's going to work on in the future and which are going to whipsaw you to death? ;-)
