Mary, horsepower is a completely different measurement from Mhz. A more appropriate comparison would be revolutions per minute ( RPM ) and capacity ( cubic centimeters ). Just as you do in cpus, you can have engines that look great in those two measurements and suck in real HP/Torque. For example, the Lincoln LS has a 4 liter V8 which makes 250 Hp and the honda s2000 make 240 hp from 2 liters of displacement. The LS makes that HP in the 5K-6K RPM Range, the S2000 does it at 9K+ range. Which one would you pick?

p.s. HP is more like IPC*Frequency
