QCOM update from C.E.Unterberg Towbin dated 10/04

Nextel And Its Commitment To CDMA
Nextel’s intention to role out a cdma2000 1x overlay on its existing iDEN network may be in question.
Negotiations surrounding the deployment of a CDMA overlay have proven difficult.
Present value of potentially foregone royalties, license fees, and chipset sales from Nextel alone, would be roughly equivalent to $2-$3 per QCOM share.
We maintain our STRONG BUY rating and $65 price target.

I am hearing from hedgie's whom were very bullish a few weeks ago that Qcom may lower forward chip sales to low end of estimate. Apparently a Lehman analyst was the source. Also Subs from Verizon and Japan mediocre to bad. Radio shack reports tomorrow, if those numbers are OK it Q will probably be OK. If 42.5 breaks then there is a long way down to go IMHO, 38-40 also some suport but then WHOOSH. I dont think it will happen but I wouldnt take a shot long here.
