I would have to conclude that what you say is what people
HOPE will be accomplished, but never has, really.

You missed the main point. The more total the victory in war the longer the peace. This is a fact because the victor of the war will come into the land that has been defeated. And put the victors way of thinking and values into the schools,the press ect.

The less total the victory in war. RE: WW1 the shorter the peace will be because the values of the two sides are still different.

Different values and way of thinking IS what causes war.

Values are NEVER changed through negotiation or debate.

Only war can do that.
