“Shorting Serves NO Purpose" is a GREAT slogan that says it all :

this statement says it all, I removed the terrorist mark of attacking to insult and discredit: There has never been any definitive research or proof … that short selling - whether with affirmative determination or naked - causes or accelerates declines in stock prices.

That hit the nail on the head of the transparency issue of the petition.

1. Tthere is no transparency for short selling LEGAL and especially Offshore illegal short selling that can go around any rule passed to stop his horrible concept of legal thievery.
2. The only transparency available is the VOLUNTARY reporting some brokers do but brokers are NOT REQUIRED to report LEGAL SHORT POSITIONS.
3. Thus the ENTIRE short selling media PROPAGANDA is without solid basis.
4. It also offers no solid verifications and until the FEDS require transparency there will not be any.
5. Nor does it even remotely consider that short sellers merely moved their money off shore and performed massive short selling to punish the prohibitions.

Just like the prohibition on alcohol, which is why the years of the prohibition prices fell more. No check and balance and the market is toast. Plus this shows if the shorts can go offshore imagine what an anti-american terrosit group could do to America's market.

Shorting Serves NO Purpose. except for those who wish to capitalize of unfairness of laws that promotes criminal activities.

Criminal rules allow criminals rule.
