Mary: I don't think that can happen even if they all agree to try. There are just too many variables. If all you wanted to do on your computer was to play Quake III in some esoteric mode, the program may utilize some performance characteristics of one processor that is different than some program that does video editing and utiliezs the performance characteristics of another processor. Voice to text, database intensive applications, and so on - may require different capabilities of the entire computer or system. Frequency as a basis for characterizing performance is going to break down completely. Not this year, probably not next year or even the year after that. But soon&#133 -fyo
