Kastel, -- People afraid to drive their cars, take a bus, fly, go to the mall.......will have a far greater effect than a tanker blocking the Straits of Hormuz.

Here's where you and I will agree to disagree...

Let me ask you about the nice people in Israel, are they too afraid drive, take a bus, fly, go to the mall? Are they too afraid to build a first rate hi-tech/manufacturing sector? Taking into account that they have little in the way of fresh water, imports its oil and terrorist supporting countries surround them?

Zipping back to North-America...

President Bush has led me to believe he understands the government’s role in all of this: to protect the country and its systems so one can flourish with justice. You, Kastel, as a citizen, your duty is to continue with the pursuit happiness.

Things will never be the same again, granted, but we will normalise.

The fact is, even now in a contracting economy we are precariously close to an oil shortage, yes, I'll repeat it, SHORTAGE! The U.S. military is revved up -- full bore, and there will be disruptions, not if, but when...

Frank P.
