The really interesting part, is that the "2GHZ" P4 with its 4GHZ ALU and a 1GHZ PIII, with a 1GHZ ALU, when equipped with the same memory, have about the same performance.

So, in going from PIII to P4, Intel has cut core performance by 75%!.

Quite an accomplishment - no wonder why you guys are so anxious to focus attention on it!
