I think the comments by Ariel Sharon were a test to see how brainwashed the public is. When you look at 1938, you see Nazi Germany, a powerful state based on racist philosophy, invading and occupying the defenseless state of Czechoslovakia. And the world refused to help the Czechs. When you look at 2001, you see Israel, a powerful military state invading and occupying the defenseless (and stateless) Palestinians. And the world refuses to come to the aid of the Palestinians. Sharon is dead right that Israel is not Czechoslovakia of 1938. Israel is Germany of 1938.
