Carl, Didn't Elton John write a song about her? <g> Actually, we have a huge number of homegrown female killers. They don't get much publicity because, in this country, if they blame some guy they know, he automatically takes the fall and the woman gets counseling to overcome her "mental abuse and terror." Even our local lovely who murdered her five children has somehow made it the husband's fault. How dare he go to work and leave the kids with her when he knew she "had problems?" I am not saying the man is always the injured party. Just that the man is accused and convicted much more often than a woman of equal or even greater guilt. The only reason there are fewer women's prisons and fewer women executed is because women are quick to drop a dime when they are caught. Men have this macho thing where they won't give up their buddies or their girlfriends. So, I guess there is something strong in female survival instincts and something that makes us terminally dumb. <g> BTW, that crap doesn't work as well in countries where there is less touchy-feely stuff in the law.
