Hi RG, I bet if you purchased that bond at $0.22/$1.00 it would be showing a pretty healthy effective yield. I've done this many times in the past and have yet to lose money on a discounted bond. Do you think the company has the fortitude to see things through to the end of the Telecom Besr? If the company is purchased by another competitor chances are the debt will have to be called (paid down) or left in place and continue paying until the end of the term of debt. If there's a conversion feature, all the merrier! Are ou planning on "averaging down?" TV
