This morning's New York Times has an interesting article on estrogen, the discovery of a new estrogen receptor, beta, and its implications for men as well as women. This article might be of interest in particular for Ligand afficionados. It is very readable for the lay person, and you have to love a journalist who begins by stating that estrogen is subject matter worthy of a Shakespearean sonnet.

There is also a small article on leptin and genetic obesity.
