You say "buying into it", "unconcerned" and "complacent". I say the fact that I am debating forecasts, discussing the significance of new reports, considering the potential impact of events, suggesting possible economic remedies and arguing that valuations of certain new economy "leaders" are still too high means you are wrong on all three counts.

I'd add that a few here who say "the trend is still down so there is no price too low to short" or "if it breaks above $X, the trend is up and no price is too high to buy" are the ones not paying attention. Perhaps there are still a lot of them out there. If so, then we'll likely get whipsawed until they lose some more money, but I think $X is still well above us, so the former is still the majority of TA-based speculative sentiment.
