nuanced discussion not possible right now. As I said in my earlier guideline posts, this thread needs to establish a personality, an accepted protocol that all participants feel they have a stake in preserving. I think we have made excellent progress but that culture of reasoned inquiry is not yet sufficiently established to automatically moderate the hot issues. Please understand, I've never done this before and I do NOT appreciate some of the nasty cracks I'm getting in PM's about my supposed biases...good grief.
