It is interesting to see how much gold the bullion banks have lent out. Banks treat gold the same way they treat dollars, so it's going to be very interesting indeed when/if the Aussie dollar begins to rise. Just one gold loan default by an Aussie mine. Of course, it all depends how extended the bullion banks are on their gold loans, but my bet is very extended
