QLGC, NTAP, EMC all nicely green today.

1999 thoughts on storage: "We'd better be sure and back up all our data in the event of Y2K catastrophe!"

2001 thinking: "We'd better back up our data in different physical locations around the country, at least one of which should be able to withstand a nuclear attack, electromagnetic pulse bomb, etc.."

All of the sudden, the idea of backing up all your data at the local mega server-farm does not seem like good business.

Any other sectors stand to benefit from this trend, in addition to storage??
