This is why the stock went to 5 last week. Monday June 23 7:34 PM EDT Company Press Release Newriders Inc. to expand Easyriders Cafe MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.--(Business Wire)--June 23, 1997--Newriders Inc. (OTC:BB - news) confirmed today that its board of directors met June 18 to discuss a long range plan to expand the Easyriders Cafe concept. Michael Purcell, chief executive officer, said ``It was a preliminary discussion of long term strategy and no decisions or commitments were made. We are considering a large number of issues, including the leadership, management and financial implications of a major expansion effort, and we will make an announcement as soon as we have something substantial to say, hopefully within a couple of weeks.'' Newriders Inc. is publicly traded on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol NWRD and currently operates two Easyrider Cafe restaurants and apparel stores in Fresno, Calif. and Myrtle Beach.
