BMW, >If hard core AMD investors can start questioning AMD's products, then Intel has really done a great job of marketing. This guy seemed like he had a decent amount of knowledge about PCs, so for him to complement the Intel marketing on having a clear and compelling argument, it comes across as quite a complement.
In my experience with Intel marketing, they do a highly professional job. They always show up with the data you asked for previously, answers to questions, concise roadmaps, excellent presentations, etc., etc. They also take your feedback very seriously, regardless of your size (well, I guess if I'd been with a too-small group, they wouldn't have paid a call).
Many people here have argued that heat sinks falling off has a very slim chance of happening, but if you were in charge of purchasing the systems, would you leave it up to chance?
Wouldn't give me warm fuzzies at all. What if the heatsink is poorly attached or cracked. Might overheat the CPU to the point of flakiness, if not meltdown.
